About Gymnastics

We offer two different pathways in our gymnastics program.

Recreational Gymnastics

Our primary focus of our recreational program is to provide your child with a strong foundation in the beginning levels of gymnastics that they will be able to improve and build upon in future levels. Each class has specific goals, these are designed to suit the children skill level, both physically and mentally.

We offer 3 levels of recreational gymnastics:

Recreational Level 1

Recreational Level 2

Recreational Level 3

These classes are designed for every child to succeed. Children will be placed in a class depending on their level of skill and maturity. The children are able to move between classes on their coaches permission.

Our Philosophy:

The philosophy of our recreational program is to provide the athlete with a positive, fun and safe environment to improve their skills.

Children in the recreational program could get the opportunity to compete at local competitions if their coach recommends them.

Competitive Gymnastics

To gain entry into our Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) competitive program children must complete a trial of out recreational class, during the class the coach will conduct an assessment of the child. At the completion of their trial class the coach will inform you of which class will be best suited for your child. Children are able to move into the competition throughout any point of the year at their coach.

To move through our competitive program athletes must receive a level badge indicating they are successful in that level. For athletes in levels 3-7 this is accomplished during a competition.

Our current classes/levels include:

Pre team (WAG 2)

WAG 5

The gymnast participate in a variety of competitions throughout the season.

There are three phases to the competitive season:
Pre-Season - This is the time from January through April. At this time of the year, we will be putting together new skills, and doing routines to prepare ourselves for the competitive season.

Competitive Season - This is the time from the first competition through the last competition of the season, which will vary according to the levels of gymnast May-November. We will be working on very few new skills and training primarily on full routines, endurance, strength and flexibility.

Post-Season - From the last competition November December. This is always the most fun part of the year. It is time to work new  skills and combinations. During this time we focus a lot on strength,  flexibility and skill development.
